Ductile Castings, a Castings plc company based in North Lincolnshire, are recruiting for Operatives to work in our Foundry & Process departments. We produce iron castings for a broad range of industries with high-profile customers in energy, minerals, and renewables and have been in business for over 40 years.

Our customers expect high-quality products delivered on-time. The business expects to grow in coming years as we expand into new markets and secure new customers.

The foundry operatives are critical to our business, the roles involve working in a busy foundry environment in the production of iron castings, from the initial stages of moulding sand and making cores to pouring metal, as well as the final finishing processes.

Successful candidates will ideally have worked in a similar manual environment. Experience of working in a foundry is desirable, but not essential as full training will be given.

Candidates should have the following attributes:

  • Good working knowledge of health and safety and good housekeeping, with safety at the forefront of our operations.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Fluent in English.

Licence/Certification:

  • Mobile plant certification (desirable) such as Bobcat, Forklift Truck.
  • Overhead crane certification (desirable).

Woking Schedule:

  • Daytime – Monday to Thursday 6am to 3pm, Friday 6am to 12.00pm.
  • Nights – Monday to Thursday 8pm to 5am, Friday 5pm to 11pm.
  • Plus, any required overtime.

The role requires you to pass a medical assessment as this is a manual and physical role. Please also note all offers of employment are subject to providing a negative drugs and alcohol test either at interview stage or after accepting an offer of employment.
